- The top level heading is == (though the software allows one, the style is reserved for article titles)
- Don’t go beyond ==== (though the maximum allowed is five)
- Don’t use formatting in headings (bold, etc.)
- Don’t put links in headings (in general)
- Use Sentence case
- Sections can be linked with #Section_heading (see example in External links, below)
Linking to section
If you link a section, it’s a good idea to insert <!-- an invisible comment --> at the target so that if the heading is changed, in-links can be edited accordingly.
