Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2008

Luke Pinson, Timothy Henstock, Justin Dix, and Jonathan Bull received 2008 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Estimating quality factor and mean grain size of sediments from high-resolution marine seismic data.[1]

Biography 2008[2]

Timothy J. Henstock received a B.A. (1990) in physics with theoretical physics and a Ph.D. (1994) in geophysics, both from the University of Cambridge. He held postdoctoral re- search positions at the University of Oxford and at Rice University. Since 1999, he has been at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, U. K., where he is a senior lecturer. His interests span the full range of geophysics from high-resolution marine seismics to modeling of large-scale tectonic processes
