Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2008
Luke Pinson, Timothy Henstock, Justin Dix, and Jonathan Bull received 2008 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Estimating quality factor and mean grain size of sediments from high-resolution marine seismic data.[1]
Biography 2008[2]
Luke Pinson graduated with a master of geophysics honors degree (2005) from Southampton Univer- sity, U. K., where he returned to work to- ward a Ph.D. at the National Oceanogra- phy Centre. His research focuses on re- covering quantitative information from high-resolution seismic surveys and re- lating acoustic properties to sedimentary geotechnical properties.
