Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership in SEG shall be conferred upon persons who have made distinguished contributions, which warrant exceptional recognition, to exploration geophysics or a related field, or to the advancement of the profession of exploration geophysics through service to the Society. The Society has an obligation to study its membership and, when meritorious accomplishment has been observed, to recognize it and so elevate the Member to Honorary Membership as one means of calling attention to the Member's worthiness.
