Biography 2004 [1]

Evgeny Landa received an M.Sc. (1972) from Novosibirsk University, USSR, and a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, Israel, both in geophysics. In 1989, he was a postdoctoral fellow at IPG in Paris. Landa was employed at SGE in Novosibirsk, USSR, from 1972 to 1981; at Elf Aquitaine in France from 1989 to 1990; and at GII from 1982 to 2002. he has been director of OPERA (Applied Geophysical Research Group) in Pau, France since 2002. His research interests include seismic data processing, inversion and imaging. He is a member of SEG and EAGE.



Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2004

V. Khaidukov, Evgeny Landa, and T. J. Moser received 2004 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Diffraction imaging by focusing-defocusing: An outlook on seismic superresolution.[2]
