Biography
Christian Hemanrud holds an M.S. in applied mathematics from the University of Bergen, Norway, and a Ph.D. in geological sciences from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He has worked at Statoil since 1984 as an explorationist, technical service provider, and research scientist. He is a specialist at the Statoil Research Centre in Trondheim, where he works with seal analysis and sub- surface storage of CO 2 .[1]
Award
Børge Arntsen, Lars Wensaas, Helge Loseth, and Christian Hermanrud received 2007 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Seismic modeling of gas chimneys.[2]
