Zhaohui Yang joined Shell in January 2013 after earning a Ph.D. in geophysics (focus on earthquake seismology) from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and working as a Research Fellow at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is currently working on 4D seismic research. Her research interests include novel 4D seismic sources and receivers, 4D seismic survey design, 3D/4D data processing, microseismic monitoring, and seismic imaging.
Best Paper Presented at the Annual Meeting 2013
Albena A. Mateeva, Jeff Mestayer, Zhaohui Yang, Jorge L. Lopez, Peter Wills, James E. Roy, and Todd Brown received the 2013 Best Paper Presented at the Annual Meeting award for their paper Dual-well 3D VSP in deepwater made possible by DAS.[1]
