SEG Foundation Directors Award 2024

David Bartel received the SEG Foundation’s first-ever Directors’ Award in 2024 in recognition of his exceptional service, leadership, and philanthropy in support of the Foundation’s mission. Through his unwavering dedication over many years, David has made a lasting impact on the Foundation and its programs through volunteer service, strategic guidance, donor engagement, and mentorship.

David has contributed extensively to the SEG Foundation by serving on committees, engaging corporate donors, and serving on the SEG Foundation Board of Directors, including as Chairperson of the Board. He continues to provide valuable guidance to the Foundation as a trusted advisor to the Foundation’s Executive Committee. In addition to his leadership, David has generously supported Foundation-funded programs with his time, expertise, and philanthropy.

The impact of David’s commitment is reflected in meaningful outcomes across the Foundation, including increased funding, expanded scholarship opportunities, the recruitment of new Trustee Associates, and sustained corporate support. He has also served as a mentor to fellow Foundation Board members and played an instrumental role in the creation and continued support of the Chevron Student Leadership Symposium, one of SEG’s most valued and successful student programs.

Through his service, leadership, mentorship, and philanthropy, David exemplifies the ideals of the SEG Foundation Directors’ Award and is highly deserving of this honor.
