1960 VINTAGE SEISMIC RECORDING is typified by a twenty four (24) channel portable system. The responses of 24 geophone stations were input to transistorized amplifiers and recorded on analog tape. The analog tape system consists of the master unit and the magnetic recorder. The oscillograph provided a paper record as a field monitor to the results. The blaster detonated the dynamite charge and provided a reference time for measuring seismic energy travel times. The geophone are typical of the 1960's. The seismic record section represents the output of a similar system.
