Adrian Umpleby
Adrian Umpleby is a Research Fellow at the Imperial College London, Department of Earth Science and Engineering, South Kensington campus.
Biography
Adrian Umpleby obtained a BSc in Mathematics with Astronomy from the University of Leicester in 1990. Since 1991, he has been with the Imperial College's Applied Modelling and Computation Group as a Research Associate and later a Research Fellow.
In collaboration with other researchers, Umpleby has developed a number of computational and mathematical applications, including those currently used within Fluidity and ICOM.[1]

Michael Warner, Andrew Ratcliffe, Tenice Nangoo, Joanna Morgan, Adrian Umpleby, Nikhil Shah, Vetle Vinje, Ivan Štekl, Lluís Guasch, Caroline Win, Graham Conroy, Alexandre Bertrand received Best Paper in Geophysics Award [2] for their paper Anisotropic 3D full-waveform inversion.[3]
