Biography 2006
Zvi Koren received a Ph.D. in geophysics from Tel Aviv University, Israel. He did postdoctoral re-search at the Institute Physique du Globe, Paris, and in the Geophysics Department of the University of Hamburg, Germany. Koren is the chief geophysicist at Paradigm Geophysical. He headed the team responsible for developing the GeoDepth® velocity-model building, seismic modeling, and depth-imaging system. He has won numerous research awards and fellowships and has published more than 40 articles on seismic wave propagation and the study of the structure of the earth’s crust, particularly geophysical modeling and inversion methods. Koren is a member of SEG and EAGE.
