Biography 2014
Volker Rath is a member of the Volker RathPalMA Research Group Dpt. of Earth Sciences, Astronomy and Astrophysics Faculty of Physical Sciences Universidad Complutense de Madrid Ciudad Universitaria. He is the author of many research papers spanning many diverse geoscience topics including: Fluids in the Earth's crust, numerical modeling of coupled transport phenomena, geothermics, forward and inverse problems, electromagnetics, paleoclimate from boreholes, and volcanology.[1]
SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award 2002
Serge A. Shapiro, Elmar Rothert, Volker Rath, and Jan Rindschwentner received the 2002 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper Characterization of fluid transport properties of reservoirs using induced microseismicity.[2]
