Samarjit Chakraborty received his MTech from IIT Bombay and MS in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Austin. He served as a Geophysical Analyst in bp and received his MBA in Finance and Strategy from Rice University.
From 2001 until 2003, Samarjit was the Vice-Chair of the SEG Development and Production Committee, focusing on organizing post-convention workshops and more recently serving in the 2024 SEG 4D Forum organizing committee.
Samarjit is currently serving as the Chair of the SEG Development and Production Committee and is also a member of EAGE and GSH.
