SEG Osmania University Student Chapter is established in 2022 by M.Sc (Geophysics) second-year students under the guidance of the NGRI Student Chapter. Dr. Udaya Laxmi, Chairman of the Board of Studies, University College of Science, Osmania University, is our faculty advisor. Osmania University offers a Master of Science in Geophysics, the duration of this course is 2 years.

Gravity Survey
Gravity survey performed by the members of the SEG Student Chapter at Osmania University using CG-6 autograv gravity meter.
Poster Presentation Event
The members of the SEG OU Student Chapter participated in the Poster Presentation Event held by the Indian Geophysical Union(IGU) in the Department of Geophysics, Osmania University.
GSI Training Program
The SEG OU Student Chapter team attended a 5-day training program titled Geophysical Data processing and Interpretation in the Geological Survey of India (GSI) under the guidance of senior geophysicists Dr. Bangaru Babu and Shri M. Lakshmana.
Magnetic Survey
Conducted magnetic survey by the SEG OU Student Chapter team at the Osmania University Campus using Proton Precession Magnetometer (PPM).
VLF EM Survey
The SEG OU Student Chapter members have conducted the electromagnetic survey applying the VLF method with the ABEM WADI instrument at Osmania University.

Webinar of Jaleena Sunny on the topic Uncertainty Characterization of earthquake ground motion prediction arranged by the NGRI Student Chapter in collaboration with SEG Student Chapters of Osmania University, Kurukshetra University, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
Lecture by Dr. Prasanta K. Patro
A talk arranged by the SEG-NGRI Student chapter and SEG-OU Student Chapter of Dr. Prasanta Patro, faculty advisor of NGRI Student Chapter in Osmania University geophysics department. Dr. Patro gave the information about SEG Student Chapter and also shared the information about the magnetotellurics method.
