2010 Honorable Mention (Geophysics)
Paul Fowler, Xiang Du, Robin Fletcher received 2010 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Coupled equations for reverse time migration in transversely isotropic media,[1]
Biography 2010[2]
Paul Fowler received a B.S. (1981) in geology and mathematics from Portland State University, and an M.S. (1985) and Ph.D. (1988) in geophysics from Stanford University. He has worked as a research geophysicist for ARCO and for WesternGeco. His research interests include seismic imaging, inversion, and parameter estimation, particularly in anisotropic media. He is a member of SEG, EAGE, CSEG, AGU, and NSS.
