Michael Fehler
Michael Fehler received a Ph.D. (1979) in seismology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1979–1984, he was assistant professor of oceanography at the college of Oceanography at Oregon State University before joining Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico, in 1984. He is now group leader of the geophysics group at Los Alamos. He was editor in chief of the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America in 1995–2004 and is president of SSA. His interests include seismic imaging, seismic scattering, and induced seismicity.

Michael Fehler is recognized for his work with SEAM. Mike has been involved with SEAM since its inception. He served as the project manager for SEAM Phase I and was instrumental in helping SEG obtain a grant from the Department of Energy to support the extension of Phase I into Phase I Elastic. Mike has been involved as project manager for several other SEAM projects, including the current CO2 Project. His work and his knowledge of SEAM data is second to none and he is the cornerstone of SEAM.
