Michael Broadhead received a B.S. (1979) in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.S. (1989) in physics from the University of New Orleans. He was a physicist with the U. S. Naval Research Lab at Stennis Space Center for about nine years, where he worked in the fields of ocean acoustics and physical oceanography. He was a geophysicist with Texaco in Houston and New Orleans for about 12 years. He has been employed with Saudi Aramco since 2000, where he is currently in the geophysical research group. His professional interests include signal processing, seismic inversion, rock physics, and geostatistics. He is a member of SEG, EAGE and AGU.
