Kyle Spikes is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Geological Sciences, Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the Peter T. Flawn Centennial Chair in Geology.

Biography 2014 [1]

Kyle T. Spikes received a Ph.D. (2008) in geophysics from Stanford University. Currently, he is an assistant professor of geophysics in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include integration of geologic inferences with rock physics and quantitative seismic interpretation. These interests have to lead projects for shale characterization, CO2 sequestration, and forward numerical wave propagation methods. He is a member of SEG, EAGE, and AAPG.
