Kurukshetra University Geophysical Society

Kurukshetra University Geophysical Society SEG Student Chapter was established by Dr. S.S. Teotia (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ss_Teotia2) at 9 November 2001 and just after he took up the charge of the chairman of the Department of Geophysics, Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra (http://kuk.ac.in/). The promulgation of such a society is based on an idea which conceptualize to promote the science of geophysics, expose it to the masses and thus to provide the students an opportunity to learn the modern geophysical technology with global experts. The society conducts educational activities throughout the year in the institute, and takes part in the events organized by various geophysical organizations.
