Jacob Verhoef
Biography 1992 [1]
Jacob Verhoef received an M.Sc. in physics (1978) and a Ph.D. in geophysics (1984), both from the State University of Utrecht, Netherlands. He is currently a research scientist at the Atlantic Geoscience Centre, Bedford Institute of Oceanography, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. His research interests include the development of mathematical methods and their use in the tectonic interpretation of magnetic and gravity data. He is the leading scientist in compilation of magnetic data in the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans currently being carried out at the Atlantic Geoscience Centre. He is a member of AGU, CGU, and EGS.
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 1992
W. R. Roest, J. Verhoef, and M. Pilkington received 1992 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Magnetic interpretation using the 3-D analytic signal.[2]
