(a) Where P-waves convert to S-waves upon reflection (i.e., C-waves), reflecting angles r are smaller than incident angles i, and interchanging source and receiver changes the reflecting point. (b) For common source and receiver points, the conversion point generally moves toward the receiver for shallower reflectors.
