Ali Ozbek
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2010
Kemal Ordemir, Ali Ozbek, Dirk-Jan van Manen, Massimiliano Vassallo received Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper On data-independent multicomponent interpolators and the use of priors for optimal reconstruction and 3D up/down separation of pressure wavefields.[1]
Biography 2010 [2]
Ali Özbek received B.S., M.S., E.E. and Ph.D. (1989) degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Having joined the electromagnetics department at Schlumberger Doll Research in Ridgefield, Connecticut, in 1989, Özbek moved to Schlumberger Cambridge Research in Cambridge, U. K., in 1990. He is currently a scientific advisor in the geophysics department at Schlumberger Cambridge Research, with a joint appointment as a geophysical advisor at the Western-Geco London Technology Centre in Gatwick, U. K. His current research interests include various areas of seismic signal processing.
