Victoria Briggs
Biography 2004 [1]
Victoria A. Briggs received a B.Sc. (1996) in physics from London University and an M.Sc. (2000) in geophysics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. She worked at Schlumberger-Doll Research from 1997 to 1999. She is in her third year at the Earth Resources Laboratory, where she researches borehole acoustics. She is a member of SEG, SPWLA, and AGU.
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2004
Alberto Malinverno and Victoria A. Briggs shared a 2004 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) Award for their paper Expanded uncertainty quantification in inverse problems: Hierarchical Bayes and empirical Bayes.[2]
