The SHV-410 is a compact, ruggedly constructed, cab-mounted unit with all routine operating controls and LED displays conveniently located on the operator's control panel. It produces digitally generated sweep signals which are polarized and synchronized with the recording system T/O by a coded transmission sequence from the RCV unit. Highly reliable digital circuitry and crystal controlled clock frequencies allow timing accuracy and repeatability of 0.1 millisecond between sweep-generating units in the system.
