There are three kinds of wavelet:

Zero phase wavelet: symmetrical with a positive peak at time zero (non-causal).

Minimum phase wavelet: has a short time duration and a concentration of energy at the start of the wavelet. It is zero before time zero (causal) .

Maximum phase wavelet: energy is maximally concentrated at its end.
