Jie Hou received a B.Sc. (2012) in exploration geophysics from China University of Petroleum (East China). In 2012, he joined The Rice Inversion Project (TRIP) at Rice University, where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate. His research interests include true amplitude imaging and velocity model building. He has received 2014 Best Student Paper award and 2015 Best Student Poster Paper Award of Merit from SEG.
