Mahak Singh Chauhan
I am currently pursuing PhD in potential field geophysics at university of Naples Federico II. My research interest is, to develop a multi scale technique for interpreting potential field data, modeling of the complex geological structures and global optimization of the non-linear problems. I have done my master degree in geophysics and bachelor degree in science from Kurukshetra University, India.
Education
- Master degree in Geophysics (2012), Kururkshetra University, India
- Bachelor's degree with Mathematics, Physics and Statistics (2009), Kururkshetra University, India
Research Experience
I am working in my PhD project since 2013. Before I worked as project assistant in CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, India (2012-2013) where I have participated in geophysical field work of Transient Electromagnetic method, Vertical Electric Soundings and Electrical Resistivity Tomography for aquifer mapping. I have done my master thesis on "Body waves attenuation of Kumaun Himalaya" which help me to understand the geology of upper crust.
