US east coast deep water line 32
Downloading data
To download data, visit the Woods Hole datastore.
Available data includes unprocessed field data, observer's logs, and processed stack in SEG Y format for several lines. There is also a final report with interpretation.
Many lines are available on this web site. Line 32 was chosen because it is shown as a representative line in Figure 3 of the "Geophysical Database of the East Coast of the United States: Southern Atlantic Margin - Stratigraphy and Velocity"[1].
Seismic Unix processing scripts tar file
Scripts that download and process east coast line 32 using Seismic Unix can be obtained using the directions below. PowerPoint presentations are also available in the tar file.
Please log onto a Linux computer, open the web browser, and go to: East Coast line 32 data. The file should automatically download.
Open a terminal window and type the following dialog:
mkdir ~/open_data cd ~/open_data mv ../Downloads/eastcoast32.tar.gz . tar -xvf eastcoast32.tar.gz This will untar the directory. When it completes, continue with: cd eastcoast32 cat readme

There are no usage constraints on this data. Users should credit the U.S. Geological Survey as the data source.
