{{#category_index:D|depth gather}} 1. A collection of the seismic traces that all reflect from the same point, often corrected for normal moveout (velocity). After correcting for various possible velocities, events on the gather are horizontal when the velocities are correct. Same as common-reflecting-point gather or common-depth-point gather. 2. The same sort of collection for converted-wave data except for a common conversion point.
