The University of Texas at Dallas Geophysical Society
General information
Geophysical Society (GS) is a student organization in UT Dallas, and also a student chapter affiliated to the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Its current members are geophysical students in Geosciences Department, UT Dallas. Our members include doctoral and master students dedicated to geophysical study and research in the Center for Lithospheric Studies (CLS) , supported by UT Dallas Geophysical Consortium.
As a student organization, our advisor is Ida Green Professor, George A. McMechan. He is also the supervisor for our research, and director of the Center for Lithospheric Studies.
