Biography 2000[1]
Steven N. Checkles received a BS (1982) in geophysics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MS (1986) in geophysics from the University of Houston. He has been with specialized seismic processing group. From 1984 to 1991 he was with Western Geophysical in the land and special problems group. His interests include depth imaging, seismic anisotropy, seismic model, and multicomponent processing.
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2000
Yonghe Sun, Fuhao Qin, Steve Checkles, and Jacques P. Leveille received 2000 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper 3-D prestack Kirchhoff beam migration for depth imaging.[2]
