Dictionary:Common-conversion point (CCP)
The common reflecting point where mode conversion from P- to S-waves (or vice-versa) occurs for a set of data. Scalar Reciprocity (the conversion point being the same when source and receiver are interchanged) does not apply; instead Vector Reciprocity (with source and receiver modes also interchanged) applies. See Figure C-13.
