Biography 1986 [2]
Ralph W. Knapp received his B.S. (1970) in geology and physics from Eastern Illinois University and his M.S. (1972) and Ph.D. (1977) in geophysics from Indiana University. From 1977 to 1980 he worked for Texaco Inc. at the geophysical center. Since 1980 he has been with the Kansas Geological Survey. His interests and experiences are in high-resolution reflection seismology. He has studied and worked with field acquisition, special processing, synthetic seismograms and modeling, shear waves, ground roll and surface waves, full waveform acoustic logs, and seismic stratigraphy. He is a member of SEG, AGU, SSA, and GSA.
