Mark P. Grasmueck, Ralf J. Weger, and Heinrich Horstmeyer received 2005 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Full-resolution 3D GPR imaging.[1]

Biography 2005 [2]

Mark Grasmueck received an M.S. (1991) and a Ph.D. (1995) in geophysics from ETH Zürich, Switzerland. He worked as an exploration geophysicist at Shell International in the Netherlands for four years. Since 2000, he has been an assistant professor of marine geology and geophysics at Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami. Grasmueck’s research interests include applied geophysics, instrument development, reflection seismic, ground-penetrating radar, 3D imaging, marine geology and reservoir characterization, carbonate systems, high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, data integration, and visualization.
