Margherita Maraschini
Margherita Maraschini is an Italian research geophysicist. She received a Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering and her M.S. in applied mathematics from the Politecnico di Torino (Technical University of Turin). After a post doc at the same university, she moved to the seismic industry, joining Fugro Seismic Imaging in as research geophysicist in 2010. After the acquisition of Fugro in 2013, she worked for CGG as a senior research geophysicist. In 2014 she joined Dolphin geophysical, now Shearwater geoservices, where she is actually working.
She is the author of several scientific publications. Her main research topics are: surface wave modelling and inversion, marine blended acquisition, random noise attenuation, interpolation.
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2011
Margherita Maraschini, Daniele Boiero, Sebastiano Foti and Valentina Socco shared a 2011 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) Award for their paper Scale properties of the seismic wavefield perspectives for full-waveform matching.
