Biography 2000[1]

Louis A. Romero received a BS (1975) and a PhD (1981) from Caltech, and an S.M. (1977) from Brown University all in applied mathematics. He has been a member of the applied mathematics department at Sandia National Laboratories since 1975. His research interests include hydrodynamic stability, bifurcation theory, perturbation theory, signal analysis, and wave Propagation.

Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2000

Louis A. Romero, Dennis C. Ghiglia, Curtis C. Ober, and Scott A. Morton received 2000 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Phase encoding of shot records in prestack migration.[2]
