SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award (1966)

Lynn G. Howell, K. O. Heintz, and A. Barry received the 1966 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper The development and use of a high-precision downhole gravity-meter.[1]

Biography Citation

K. O. Heintz received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology in 1933 and attended Oklahoma University from 1933 to 1934. From 1934 to the present he has worked for the Humble Oil and Refining Company or its affiliates, except for 1942 to 1946, when he was an Instructor in the U.S. Navy at the M.I.T. Radar School. Mr. Heintz is presently a Research Geophysicist at the Esso Production Research Company in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the SEG and the IEEE.[2]
