SEG Best Paper in Geophysics (1969)

K. L. Peacock and Sven Treitel received the 1969 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper Predictive deconvolution+theory and practice.[1]

Biography Citation

Kenneth L. Peacock received his B.S. degree in mathematics from East Central State College, Ada, Oklahoma, in 1961, and his M.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Tulsa in 1967. From 1961 to 1964 he was employed by the Jersey Production Research Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1965 he joined the Research Department of Pan American Petroleum Corporation, Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is a research engineer currently engaged in the development of digital methods for seismic data analysis. He is an active member of SEG.[2]
