Van Schaack received the 1995 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper Integrated reservoir characterization: Beyond tomography.[1]

Biography 1995[2]

John Queen obtained a Ph.D. in physics from Iowa State University in 1981. He joined the exploration research division of Conoco Inc. in 1981, and has worked at Conoco in electromagnetic methods, borehole seismology, and seismic anisotrophy. His research interests are in controlled-source EM methods, seismic shear-wave anisotropy, and reservior geophysics. He is a member of SEG, APS, and AGU.
