Jinming Zhu
Biography 1998[1]
Jinming Zhu received an MS (1988) in applied geophysics from China Petroleum University and a PhD (1997) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. From 1988 to 1994 he worked for the Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting, China National Petroleum Corporation. After receiving his PhD, he joined GX Technology as an imaging specialist. His interests include seismic data processing, depth imaging, velocity analysis, and borehole seismics. he is a member of SEG, GSH, and CSEG.
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 1998
Jinming Zhu, Larry R. Lines, and Samuel H. Gray received 1998 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Smiles and frowns in migration velocity analysis.[2]
