Jeffrey S. Ogilvie and Guy W. Purnell received the 1996 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper Effects of salt-related mode conversions on subsalt prospecting.[1]


Biography 1996[2]

Jeffrey S. Ogilvie received his BS (1983) in geology and geophysics from Boston College and his MS (1988) in geological sciences from Georgia Institute of Technology. He was with Western Geophysical from 1984 through 1986 before joining Texaco Exploration and Production Inc. in New Orleans in 1988. He is currently a member of Western's Deep Water Exploration Group. He is a member of SEG.
