G. W. Hohmann and G. A. Newman received 1990 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Transient electromagnetic responses of surficial, polarizable patches.[1]

Biography 1988 [2]

Gregory A. Newman graduated from the University of California at Riverside in 1980 with a B.S. in geophysics. In 1983 and 1987, respectively, he received his M.D. and Ph.D. at the University of Utah for research in electromagnetic methods. Since the completion of his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Newman has been a Humboldt Fellow and is research geophysicist at the University of Cologne in the Republic of Germany. He is a member of AGE and SEG.
