Gamal Abdel Aal, Lee Slater, and Estella Atekwana received 2006 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Induced polarization measurements on unconsolidated sediments from a site of active hydrocarbon biodegradation.[1]

Biography 2006[2]

Gamal Zidan Abdel Aal received a B.Sc. in geology and an M.Sc. in geophysics from Assiut University in Egypt, and a Ph.D. in geophysics from the University of Missouri–Rolla. He is an as- sistant lecturer in the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Assiut University.
