{{#category_index:S|slip sweep method}} A method whereby vibrators sweep at different locations with their sweeps overlapping but offset in time by at least the duration of the final records. The early part of the correlated record yields the record for the sweep that started earlier and the next portion the record for the sweep that started later. See Wams and Rozemond (1998) and Figure S-11.
