{{#category_index:R|radius of investigation}}
1. The radius of a circle containing the source of most measurements (often 80%). 2. The distance from a station beyond which contributions are relatively unimportant. For example, with borehole gravity measurements at intervals of Δz, 80% of the contributions come from within a radius of 2.45 Δz.
