{{#category_index:C|conditional simulation}} A geostatistical method of creating equally probable images of a regionalized variable based on spatial data. By relaxing some of the kriging constraints, conditional simulation reproduces the variance of the control data so that the result captures the heterogeneity and connectivity most likely present. It is used to produce measures of uncertainty such as probability and uncertainty maps.
