A well log made with a sonde designed to correct unwanted effects or one that has been corrected. The compensated density log uses the signal from a secondary detector to correct for the effect of mud cake and small irregularities in the borehole wall. The BHC compensated sonic log uses dual transmitters and receivers to reduce the effects of irregularities in borehole size and sonde tilt.
