{{#category_index:C|capacitivity}}
(k∂ pas’ i tiv ∂ tē) Permittivity, the property of a material that enables it to store electrical charge. Measured in farads per meter. The ratio of the capacitivity of a material to that of free space is the dielectric constant of the material. Free space has a capacitivity of 8.854×10–12 farad/m. See also electric susceptibility.
