$\rho =a(m)=3.05V$

where a(m)=137 for m=21. Alternatively:

$V=A(m)\rho ^{1.5}$ or $V=a\rho +b$,

where a, b are constants. Named for Albert F. Birch (1903-1992), American geophysicist.
