PhD university University of Lund

Daniele Boiero received an M.S. (2004) in environmental engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, an M.Sc. (1998) in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lund, Sweden, and a Ph.D. (2005) in applied geophysics at Engineering Geology, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lund, Sweden. He received scholarships at the hydrogeophysics group at Aarhus University, Denmark, funded by the Nordic Research Academy, at the Politecnico in Turin, and at the ROSE School (European school for advanced studies in reduction of seismic risk), University of Pavia, Italy, where he was a Marie Curie Fellow. From 2004–2005 two years of his Ph.D. study was funded by the Sven Tyréns foundation. He has been a geophysicist at Tyréns AB, Sweden, and he is presently a geophysicist at Rambøll Denmark A/S. He received the Ludger Mintrop Award in 2006 for best paper in EAGE-NSG 2005 for his work on seismic and electrical methods and the application to geotechnical problems. His current research mainly focuses on surface wave processing and inversion to build veloc
